Live BirdCam – Experience Holton Lee Live

Connecting with nature is a great way to improve and sustain a sense of wellbeing. The Livability Holton Lee site is alive with wildlife and so a walk on the heath or spending a while in one of the bird-hides could be just what the doctor ordered. But if you can’t get here often enough or want a little pick-me-up from your desk, this livestream from one of the bird-feeders on site could be just the tonic you need.

Woodpeckers, goldfinches, nuthatches, coal tits, chaffinches and robins are all regular visitors – as well as the rogue male pheasant when he gets the chance! See what you can spot in a five-minute break…

This feeder webcam was funded and installed by local charity ‘Birds of Poole Harbour’ as part of their wider environmental outreach work around the Poole Harbour area. Livability Holton Lee and Birds of Poole Harbour have worked together on a number of projects including the recently created Holton Pools bird hide and wetland habitat restoration which can offer incredible sightings of kingfishers during the late summer and autumn as well as a range of waders, ducks and gulls.

To find out more about Birds of Poole Harbour, go to https://www.birdsofpooleharbour.co.uk/ or pop in to their fantastic visitor centre on Poole quay, have fun with their large interactive information boards and book yourself a bird-spotting boat trip round the harbour.
